Notes:

Dan and Geneva were born and have always lived in the "Moonshine Capital" of the U.S. Franklin County, Virginia. They have two daughters, Valerie Lenora and Leslie Dawn. Being from the South and growing up on farms, their music reflects a down-to-earth mode of living. Thus was born the band name, "Southlanders." Geneva does most of the five-string banjo work, which is rare indeed, for a woman. Both can play the piano, autoharp, dobro guitar, and mandolin. Both Danand Geneva can sing baritone and tenor parts in most songs. Both are songwriters, and all songs and music on this album are by them. Each song on this album comes from the heart and is a true life experience. Dan and Geneva have appeared on radio and television with such notables as Charlie Monroe, Don Reno, and Red Smiley. They have also performed at Kings Dominion. Roanoke Civic Center, Virginia Tech, and many other entertainment centers. They have a weekly radio show on WNIB radio in Rocky Mount, Va. The title of this album, "Spring, Summer, Fall, Xmas." comes from one side being Christmas songs and the other side songs for all seasons. Dan and Geneva were asked many times to record a xmas album, also an album of their original country and bluegrass material. After much planning and preparation they decided to record an album with half xmas material and half bluegrass and country songs. Half and half may not be the standard procedure for making an album but when you put the two half's together you have a full 100% of musical enjoyment.
